Hot dogs and Colors

we had about 30 people in our home to celebrate Tonio's 30th birthday !

soccer, a.k.a. football

i love watching my husband play football

go number 5 !!!

he played defense this day

this is the team he's played with for a few years now

i must say, tonio is really good and fun to watch

thankful that God created my handsome 30 years ago

chocolate chip banana pancakes and bacon

presents AND mail

brunch with my babe

ages 0-30... it's so fun to see the progression

Later, Pierre and Nancy came over for cake, ice cream and champagne.

saturday stroll

my husband is one of the most creative people i know

some ideas can be processed for months

some are cleverly spontaneous

This particular saturday was the latter:

He asked me out on an Oreo cookie date ! =)

We walked to a local plaza and ate Oreos, the white chocolate-covered kind.

We read books while intermittently people and dog-watching.

...our view to the right...

...and to the left...

 Then we walked to Place Masséna to meet up with our friend Wil, a soccer buddy.

(Yes, that's giant, naked Apollos behind us.) 

 We watched the Champion's League Final together.

 Bayern Munich vs. Chelsea

(the guys were happy - Chelsea won; I was for Munich)

And we finished our day with another stroll through Place Masséna with Wil.

To see Tonio laughing, 

enjoying an Oreo, 

yelling at a tv screen with a friend,...

makes me so thankful to have such a wonderful, fun-loving husband.

Thank you Jesus for my husband and for friends.
