cookies...yum!

The past few days, I've had to desire to make cookies.
Perhaps it's from hearing about my mom and sister baking back home.
I just wanted homemade cookies.

So, my wonderful husband helped me find the ingredients at the little store downstairs from our appartment...helped me translate the recipe.

And voilà!

Our friend came over yesterday while I was baking.  In her excellent English with the cutest French accent, she said, "Well, Lindsey, this is very American."  I laughed and said, "C'est vrai" (It's true).

I wish you could have enjoyed some with us.  Pierre and Nancy came over later for dinner and helped me and Tonio "destroy all evidence" that chocolate chip cookies ever existed =).
