New car!

We have been looking for an apartment, and look what kind of falls in our lap.  A new (to us) car!!!  I often reflect on this verse when I believe God wants to remind me of His absolute sovereignty.

For My thoughts are not your thoughts,

and your ways are not My ways.”

This is the LORD’s declaration.

For as heaven is higher than earth,

so My ways are higher than your ways,

and My thoughts than your thoughts.

Isaiah 55:8-9 

For this, I'm thankful.

Post Sickness

The Hutchinson - Petrignani - Kahanowitch families were hit with the plague... the stomach flu!  8 out of 8 of us went down hard.  Tonio, my amazing, strong husband, seemed to miss the part of driving the porcelain bus (lucky!), but still went down for a couple days.

Anyways, after about 5 days of us dropping like flies, we started up normal activities again.  Enjoy a few photos from my phone.

A day in Antibes

We always love an excuse to see Tonton Robi and Tata Kikik!

This was a special trip - we took the train!

She LOVED it!

When I showed this picture to Tonio after we got home, he said, "She looks so big here."  You'll always be our baby girl Daphné.

I think of all the stroller drivers, she prefers her Robi driving.  It was like Mr. Toad's Wild Ride at Disneyland. =)

She really enjoys using her legs now that she can walk.  It's still amazing to me that she only started walking in July, 3 months ago!

Tonton and Tata gave this little girl her very first ride at a carnival.  VERY special.

I wasn't sure how she'd do... so much noise, lights, craziness... she handled it like a boss.

And then asked if she could go again when it stopped.  Twist Robi and Kikik's arm ;).

Her first choice was these motorcycles in front of her, but since she's not even 2, she had to choose a car.

Her Grandpa Tim was proud that she chose the off road Toyota FJ.

And then we tried the stationary carousel after the cars.  She was much less impressed, but Rob put it well... "If she starts with the high dive, the low dive will be much less exciting."

In any case, she was so happy to ride the motorcycle on this one.  I love when these two are together.  Christiane and Daphné Christiane =).

2nd Christmas =)

like 2nd breakfast... yesterday, we celebrated at tonio's aunt and uncle's home in antibes - seb and lotta were both with us this time =)

oh, and i got a new toy for 1st Christmas, a mini tripod for my little point-and-shoot camera - the following three photos were all taken with it

we have a check-up appointment today at the hospital

i've gained almost 20 kg (almost 40 lbs) - it's heavy
