A day in Antibes

We always love an excuse to see Tonton Robi and Tata Kikik!
October 27, 2016

This was a special trip - we took the train!

She LOVED it!

When I showed this picture to Tonio after we got home, he said, "She looks so big here."  You'll always be our baby girl Daphné.

Rob having fun tickling Daphné.

I think of all the stroller drivers, she prefers her Robi driving.  It was like Mr. Toad's Wild Ride at Disneyland. =)

All eyes on the princess.

Having drinks at a cute little café in Antibes.

She really enjoys using her legs now that she can walk.  It's still amazing to me that she only started walking in July, 3 months ago!

Tonton and Tata gave this little girl her very first ride at a carnival.  VERY special.

I wasn't sure how she'd do... so much noise, lights, craziness... she handled it like a boss.

And then asked if she could go again when it stopped.  Twist Robi and Kikik's arm ;).

Her first choice was these motorcycles in front of her, but since she's not even 2, she had to choose a car.

Her Grandpa Tim was proud that she chose the off road Toyota FJ.

Comin' around the bend.

And then we tried the stationary carousel after the cars.  She was much less impressed, but Rob put it well... "If she starts with the high dive, the low dive will be much less exciting."

In any case, she was so happy to ride the motorcycle on this one.  I love when these two are together.  Christiane and Daphné Christiane =).

Above is a little 30 second video of the fun!
Thanks so much Rob and Cricri for a fun afternoon in Antibes with you two!

Visit to Antibes

We love Tonton Robi and Tata Cricri (Kikik)!

Daphné and Rob dancing.

It's been really sweet to her relationship with Rob blossom.

They sure did cut a rug.

Last pool dunk of the season.  It was chilly.

Our fans!  Let me clarify... Daphné's fans.  HAHA!

Grandma & Grandpa (Day 10)

You may have noticed, there are no pictures for Day 9.  Well, we had a lovely day.  Grandpa went to the beach all day and worked on his skin cancer tan.  HA!  I went into town with my mom and Daphné and did some shopping.  AND... a thief stole my iPhone!!!  GRrrrrrrr!!!  So, no pictures that day even with my real camera.  Oh well, we made up for it on Day 10, Wednesday, July 13th!

A darling little girl in a darling little jumper (thanks Mapi!)

She looks like such a big girl!

Robi and Kikik's house in Antibes!!!  (AKA Rob and Cricri).

Cricri and Tonio getting some food ready.

Cricri and my Mama.

Rob and my Daddy.

Admiring the princess, as always.

Chillin' with her Daddy.

Walkin' with her Daddy.

The Hutchinson's on the couch =).

Did you notice her little Elvis nose, as my mom calls it?

Pork roast... mmmmm.

Homemade ratatouille.

And this begins a series of photos with her Robi.  It's taken her some time to warm up to him, but I think he found the key... sweets!

So, you can have any one, which one do you want, Daphné?

That one!

Excellent choice!

The French take their desserts seriously.  Works of art, every single one of them.

And Rob discovered she likes chocolate.

The look of bliss for both of them.

Another bite?

Yes please!

And to digest, we wandered to the pool.

No pictures of her swimming, but boy did she love the water!  Here she is proudly standing with Grandpa.

Silly gooses... silly geese?

I'm so thankful for technology.  Thanks to Facetime, Daphné has talked to her Grandma and Grandpa at least 2-3 times a week since we saw them last summer.  When they arrived, she knew exactly who they were and went straight into Grandpa's arms.  As you can see, she's quite comfortable there =).

Showing off for Grandpa and her Papa.

Squishing the desserts in Grandpa's belly!

In the wind tunnel with these 2 beauties.

I liked the shadow of her hair in this one.  It was a crazy windy day, but still so pleasant.

And there's nothing like a good story with Grandpa to top off the day.
